DIA DM50 Drill Specifications | DKOptical.net

The DIA DM50 Drill System:

The best solution for fast and precise processing of rimless drill mounts!
Digitally capture and memorizes hole and notch locations on the demo lenses then transfers them to the final patient lenses simply and accurately.

The DM50 has adjustable 0-6400 RPM spindle speed and +/- degrees spindle angle for the finest finish of holes and notches. It also has a unique mounting tool that changes tool bits quick and safe, it also supports optional 0.8mm to 2.6mm sizes.


DIA's DM50 accommodates a wide range of extra bits, router bits (notching bits) and end-mill bits are available from our optional accessories catalog.

DIA innovation brings simplified operation for any shape hole or notch on any shape lens. Hole positions can be very simply and accurately measured from the edge of the demo lens and stored in a computer memory by pressing one button then called up for drilling the final patient lenses.

Start working right away with these standard accessories which include AC/DC power adapter, drill bits, 1/2 hole hand reamer, line marker, tools, etc.

Takubo Machine Works Co, Ltd is located in the Hiroshima prefecture of Japan: we have become one of the largest and most used lines of optical machinery ever! For nearly 60 years, Dia machinery, manufactured by Takubo, has been sold in North America by a succession of US based distributors and marketed under the names of Novamatic, Dia, Lab-Tech and Takubomatic.

Our machinery has always been well known for its' many exceptional attributes but in North America one thing was always missing...

Therefore Takubo North America Inc. was formed to provide factory direct sales and service support from our service center in Northern Florida to address the specific needs of the United States with support for all of North America.

We provide standard and warranty service for any Takubo Product or DIA product purchased in the United States, Mexico and many parts of South and Central America regardless of what distributor it was purchased from.
We have experienced Factory trained personnel ready to assist you. We provide e-mail and telephone support free of charge for all products sold. We continue to extend this service for all DIA, Takubo and Takubomatic products, even those that are no longer manufactured.
All parts are in stock at our factory. Most Parts are in stock in our North Florida Service center, any back ordered or unusual parts can normally be shipped to our Florida facility in less than a week.

* NOTE

Chinese Copies of our Machinery:
Currently there are dozens of Chinese copies of our machinery circulating, some on the outside are so nearly identical that even we need to open them up to be sure it is a copy. Aside from the obvious differences (Borazon instead of Diamond in the grinding wheels, poor size tolerances and chucks that are smaller than the machines can accommodate) they are actually vastly different in internal construction. Very few parts are interchangeable with our parts. For this reason we do not service Chinese machinery.
